In 1989, Tom became one of the four original partners in Aberdeen Group, a marketing, consulting and sales training firm for the computer and communications supplier community. Willmott became CEO of Aberdeen in 1997. During his tenure, the company successfully closed two rounds of private equity financing and grew to more than 100 employees, with offices in Boston and Palo Alto. Tom was a frequent conference speaker and often quoted in major trade and business publications. Since his retirement from Aberdeen Group, Willmott has continued to follow computer industry trends and completed selected assignments as an independent consultant. Willmott has always had a passion for best practices in on-line trading and technical analysis. Using powerful trading platforms like Tradestation and Metatrader — successors to software developed on engineering workstations for Wall Street in the 1990s — he has developed a proprietary, sustainable system for trading Forex, Futures, Equities and Options. Tom and his colleagues trade for their own investment accounts each day using this optimized combination of public domain technical indicators. Through FxFortuneHunter webinars and courseware, Tom shares his templates and trading strategies with members from all over the world.
